India, some people say, exports more engineers than most other goods. Yes thats right "goods". Isn't that what we have become with countless engg colleges churning out engineers by the bunch. Is there a single family today, atleast in the urban areas (and villages too - BITS ians know that a little too well lol), who dont have some relation or other in an Engineering College, yes that dream destination for most parents clichéd vision for their progeny. But really do all those poor souls who join these institutions really enjoy being there? Well for starters - NO. For example urz truly. Yes i did join of my own volition, a computer science bachelors course. But was it the education that i dreamt of ? Obviously No - otherwise i wouldnt be writing this blog would i ? The course was filled with subjects that got me thinking - ver the hell are v gonna apply THIS SHIT !!!. Most of the subjects are just a bunch of crap that really is just up for mugging.
