The most common Question i get these days is - What the hell ver ya thinking ven u joined a Rock band after completing Engineering????? Even i wondered before. Well i told 'em all n i tell u now so too that i joined because i just wanna LIVE my life....not just sit in front of the damn computer sitting and writing some Codes and codes and codes ONLY. Dont u think u need to have a life other than just ur professional one ( ok i dont have a professional one yet...well thtz coz of other reasons......a few of vich u'll get by reading my other posts :-) ) I always was a guy inclined towards music more than anything else. Thats y ven the opportunity came knocking @ my doors in ma engg. college to sing for a Rock band.....i took it up as a challenge....mind u...till then the only songs i sang ver lotsa english Pop songs, Film songs and Yes, LOTSA Bhajans....ya u heard that right. India, some people say, exports more engineers than most other goods. Yes thats right "goods". Isn't that what we have become with countless engg colleges churning out engineers by the bunch. Is there a single family today, atleast in the urban areas (and villages too - BITS ians know that a little too well lol), who dont have some relation or other in an Engineering College, yes that dream destination for most parents clichéd vision for their progeny. But really do all those poor souls who join these institutions really enjoy being there? Well for starters - NO. For example urz truly. Yes i did join of my own volition, a computer science bachelors course. But was it the education that i dreamt of ? Obviously No - otherwise i wouldnt be writing this blog would i ? The course was filled with subjects that got me thinking - ver the hell are v gonna apply THIS SHIT !!!. Most of the subjects are just a bunch of crap that really is just up for mugging.
