An Anti-War Lyric

I'd written this in around 15 minutes for my heavy metal band Souled Out in 2006. I ain't a fan of Poems, so, I wouldn't call this, one. I's just my statement against the fucked up unjustified lies-based Iraq War.

-----

Pondering over the need of war
All I see is greed from afar
Dressed in the guise of a saviour
In disgust, I'm left to wonder

Is peace, a piece of lies in disguise ?
Can war be the justice of farce ?
Are wars a game of creating dead names ?
What the fuck is our freedom's price ?

These Raging Wars
leaving deeper scars
All in the name of freedom
Innocents dying for the sake of demons.

I cannot bear this bloody pain I see.

Inhuman crimes have become the norm
Moral issues hit like a storm
Creating bars in the name of state
Breeding contempt and hate.

And now with these, eyes I see
Pain and fear caused by greed of wars
Inflict on sinners the karmic scars
No better justice to give lives a lease.

I wanna unleash my wrath on all.

The closer you are to a person, the lesser the masks+layers. Hence, you know very clearly how close you are to each friend in your life. One never truly knows oneself. People always say the previous statement, not realizing that to truly find oneself is the point of spiritual guidance. It is truly finding oneself that is Liberation aka Moksha. Hence, meditation and all spiritual practices te...
